2013- Todd Heil & Jeff Heil
In 2013 the Donkey Cup added a new twist to the weekend, the Foal Cup. Some call it an exhibition while others label it a tune-up, but it does provide a chance to bring home some hardware. In 2013 the Foal Cup was played at Albion Ridges at the Boulder and Granite Courses. Unlike the actual Donkey Cup there was some amazing golf played. The front 9 the group shot a combined 1 over par lead by Jeff at 1 under. When it was all over, the Tremendous Slouches took home the inaugural Foal Cup. In the end, Jeff lead the way with an even par 72 and Todd shooting an impressive 80 that began with an even par front 9. They had to play this well as the Wrench Swingers through up two 75's to keep things tight.
2014- Todd Heil & Jeff Heil
The Foal Cup has taken on it's own identity just two years into the introduction to the Donkey Cup. Like every match between the Tremendous Slouches and Wrench Swingers it always is decided on the last hole. This year's Foal Cup was no different. This year's Foal Cup was hosted by Eagles Landing near Fort Ripley. A wide open venue with the largest greens you will ever play provided some great golf to begin the weekend. The course consisted of two par 3's that required a driver to make it on the green. The longest was 250 yards into the wind in which both teams managed to walk away with par. With the Heil's receiving a stroke on the long par 5 18th it required a 7 foot par putt from Todd Heil to ice the Cup for the Tremendous Slouches to retain the coveted Foal Cup.
